Danie Marais

Danie Marais was born in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1978 and grew up in both Namibia and South Africa. He studied art at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein, got married and have been residing in Langebaan on the West Coast of South Africa since 2010. He was since blessed with two beautiful sons.
Danie loves art, and does it with passion as a full time artist. His work is on display at several galleries throughout South Africa, Namibia and the Netherlands.
He purely depends upon Christ in him for endurance and inspiration.
His opinion on art agrees to a previous quote: “ When you buy something from an artist, you’re buying more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You’re not buying just one thing, you’re buying a piece of a heart, a piece of a soul, a small piece of someone else’s life.”
